Development of cosmetic tube in China

Cosmetic tube is favored by pipeline engineering because of its light weight, corrosion resistance, small water loss and convenient installation. Compared with traditional metal pipe, plastic pipe has less energy consumption (generally less than 1: 4) and less environmental pollution, so it is increasingly valued by the government and relevant departments.

In foreign countries, cosmetic tubes are constantly replacing metal or other traditional materials and developing rapidly. From 1980 to 1990, the total growth rate of all kinds of materials except plastic pipes was less than 2%, but the growth rate of plastic pipes was four times that of other kinds of pipes, reaching 8%. In the 1990s, the demand for plastic pipes still increased at an annual rate of 4.2%, and its output value increased at an annual rate of about 8%.

Plastic pipes have been produced in China since 1970s, and have been popularized and applied in engineering construction since early 1980s. In recent twenty years, plastic pipes have been greatly developed, not only in quantity, but also in varieties and specifications. By the end of 1999, there were about 2000 plastic pipe production lines in China, of which imported equipment accounted for about 15%. In 1999, the production capacity of various plastic pipes in China has reached 1.65 million tons, and the actual output is about 1 million tons. Among them, PVC-U pipe is 500,000 tons, accounting for 50%; PE pipe is 360,000 tons, accounting for 36%. In recent years, with the rapid development of the construction industry as an important pillar industry of the national economy and the residential industry, the indoor plastic pipes in buildings have developed rapidly, which has become a hot spot of investment nowadays.

At present, UPVC pipe and PE pipe are mainly used in the development of cosmetic tube, and new composite and modified plastic pipes are vigorously developed. In 2010, the main products of plastic pipes should meet the market requirements, the market products are complete, the quality, grade and supporting level have been significantly improved, and the overall level is close to the international advanced level. In the national new construction, reconstruction and expansion projects, 80% of the building drainage pipes use plastic pipes; 80% of building water supply, hot water supply and heating pipes are plastic pipes; 90% of wire sheath pipe is made of plastic pipe; 70% of building rainwater drainage pipes are made of plastic pipes; 70% of urban water supply pipes (below DN400Inm) use plastic pipes, and 70% of rural water supply pipes use plastic pipes; 50% of urban drainage pipes are made of plastic pipes; 60% of urban gas pipelines (medium and low pressure pipelines) are made of plastic pipes.
